Everton have been elected to FA Women's Super League 1

Toffees to play in the top tier, subject to appeal, following liquidation of Notts County

The FA Women’s Football Board has today confirmed that Everton have been successful in their application to take the vacant FA WSL 1 slot for the 2017/18 season, following the recent liquidation of Notts County.

One other club applied, which was Doncaster Rovers Belles.

They have the right to appeal the decision, within seven days.

The teams playing in the FA WSL 1 for the 2017/18 season will be ratified at the AGM on Wednesday 28 June 2017.
